Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh (92) passed away on December 26, 2024, at AIIMS, New Delhi. After a sudden loss of consciousness at home, he was rushed to AIIMS at 8:06 PM but was declared deceased at 9:51 PM despite immediate medical intervention. The veteran economist and politician was being treated for age-related conditions.

A Distinguished Parliamentary Career Ends

Dr. Singh concluded his illustrious parliamentary journey in February 2024, retiring from the Rajya Sabha where he represented Rajasthan. His remarkable tenure included six terms representing Assam since 1991. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had praised him as an 'inspirational example,' acknowledging his significant contributions to Indian democracy and governance.
